I am working for a subcontractor on a project, the main contractor has dictated the overall programme and we have to schedule our works into this higher programme. We therefore have task start dates and end dates giving a duration in which we can do the work, in general our activities are shorter than the duration allowed in the main programme. So how do I put an activity that will take us one day into a programme that allows us five days to this activity? I still want to show higher programme allowance, so in this example we would have four days of slack (float).
