i am looking for a template that will allow me to keep records of when the
recycling company picks up our scrap metal, which metal they picked up, and
the date i initially made the call to them for the scrap removal. any
suggestions?
That's a VERY VERY narrow and specific application. Most Access templates are
quite general ("Inventory", "Library"), and in practice most Access
applications don't start from a template.
With a bit of study, you should be able to construct your own database, tuned
to your actual needs, from scratch. See the "Database Design 101" links in
Jeff's website, and the resources at both sites:
