troubleshoot "file as" mistakes in address book

A CONTACT SHOWS CORRECTLY UNDER PROPERTIES, AS LASTNAME, FIRSTNAME. HOWEVER,
WHEN I START A NEW EMAIL, USE "TO" BUTTON AND ADDRESS LIST DROPS DOWN, RANDOM
# OF PEOPLE ARE LISTED THERE INCORRECTLY AS FIRSTNAME LASTNAME. BEEN THAT WAY
A LONG TIME. SHOWS FINE UNDER PROPERTIES, BUT NOT IN ADDRESS LIST. IS CORRECT

The caps lock key on your keyboard appears to be broken. Better get that
fixed.

How to adjust the list as shown in the address book is Outlook
version-specific and you decided that mentioning your Outlook version was
unimportant.

For Outlook 2002/2003, click Tools>E-mail Accounts>View or change existing
directoryies or address books>Next. Select Outlook Address Book and click
Change. Set the sort order there. In Outlook 2007, click Tools>Account
Settings, select the Address Book tab, select Outlook Address Book and click
Change.
