Unable to connect to the internet

I am able to connect to the internet, send and receive e-mail on most of my
accounts, but occassionally one of my e-mail addresses that has the same
server as the others gets the unable to connect to the internet -- error
number: 0x800ccc0e

It's not the same e-mail that randomly doesn't receive - it changes between
a few and stays that way usually for a couple of days, the it comes back
fine.

What can I do to prevent this from happening & what is happening?

The most common causes of this are 1) scanning outgoing messages with an
anti-virus program. That is never needed and should be disabled. Some AV
programs require uninstalling and reinstalling without the mail scanning
option in order to truly disable it; 2) a server timeout value that's too
short. This setting is on the Advanced tab of the account properties pages;
and 3) a send/receive interval that's too low. It shouldn't be any less
than about ten minutes.
