I am using MSOP 2007 standard. I have two tasks in particular in my
schedule. Task 3 is linked to task 2. Task 2 is 80% complete, started on
4/1/08, Task 3 is 10% complete and started on 4/29/08. I want to reschedule
my remaining work. I go to Tools-Tracking-Update Project-I select Reschedule
uncomplet work to start after 5/7/08 For Entire project. When this is
selected only task 2 is updated. I can go through this sequence again and
task 3 is finally updated. Why? Am I missing something here? I would
expect project to go through each task and reschedule the remaining work
based on the predecessors. For instance if task 2s new completion date is
June 23 and task 3 is linked to task 2 with a FS relationship and has 20
hours remaining, I would expect project to split task 3 leaving the actuals
in tact and reschedule the remaining 20 hours to start June 24th.
Any ideas?
