Use of UML in Visio 2003 standard edition

Background:
The 2003 standard edition does not have the 'Software' category and the UML
template. I have imported the UML template and the UML stencils from the
‘Professional’ edition on another pc.

My problem:
I cannot get into shape properties for the UML shapes in the
template/stencils I imported. Also, when I double click on an imported shape
- nothing happens. I cannot get to name the shape/class/object. (This problem
does not arise for the templates I downloaded from the web. But I could not
find the UML template I need - the one that is default for the professional
edition.)

Can somebody help me? It will be greatly appreciated

that's probably because as an add-in there are associated software modules
which also need to be installed, thus the requirement to purchase the correct
version.
It's not all in the stencils/templates.

Hello Al, thank you for the response to my question. On second thought, I
find it a little hard to understand why the templates I download from the web
do contain the functionalities I miss when I use the UML template imported
from the pro. edition. I wonder if I there is something to be done apart from
getting the pro. version. But thank you again for your time and answer /vb

You might investigate the "templates I download from the web" to see if they
have embedded code and move on from there.
