With Vista 5384 and Outlook 12.0.417.1006 I get excessive disk actiivty
whenever Outlook synchronises between Exchange and my local .OST file. This
is a 2GHZ laptop with 1GB of RAM so memory is not an issue (low page fault
rate). And it takes a long long time to synchronise - though it does get
there in the end.
I admit that my OST is rather large (1.7GB), but I do not have this problem
with the same version of Outlook running on Windows 2003.
I have turned off indexing on Vista - but this make no difference.
Works fine if I turn off the local Exchange cache, but the local cache is so
useful.
Any ideas? Or is this a known problem?
