Vlookup/Dlookup in a table

I have table #1, which lists a series of titles and their corresponding
product numbers. In another table I want the same info, but I do not want to
have to manually input the product number. I want to be able to chose a
title name from a drop down list (which I already set up, based upon table
#1) and have a "vlookup" populate the corresponding product numbers? I tried
the lookup command but I want the product code to be in a separate column.

I hope this makes sense, and any help would be wonderful! Is this even
possible?

Not in a Table.

Access IS NOT EXCEL ON STEROIDS.

A table is *not* a spreadsheet. You can't use functions, VLookUp *or*
DLookUp, in a table, and you never need to do so! Table datasheets
should basically be used only for design and debugging, not for data
entry, viewing or searching.

Instead, use *A FORM* bound to your table. You can put a combo box on
the Form, bound to the product number field; the combo box would be
based on your table #1 (which I hope isn't *named* [Table #1]!!!); it
can store the product number while displaying the product name.
