What is "unspecified error" from MS Word when I send a reply?

I recieved an e-mail in outlook to which I wrote a reply, which I've done
thousands of times. This time, I hit the send button and I get a banner from
MS Word saying "unspecified error". After a few tries, I copied the message
to a new blank e-mail in Outlook but could not send that either...same
message! I'm perplexed. I've not done any word processing, other than e-mail
in quite a while.
