Why am I receiving Duplicate RSS feed messages?

I receive duplicate messages in all of my RSS feeds/subscriptions - taken
from the default MS suggestions at RSS Feeds Top level.

Can anyone please help as to why I am receiving these duplicates
consistently in Outlook 2007?

Is anyone else?

What could possibly go wrong?
You installed a beta version

You aren't the only one who has this problem. This seems to be a common
with Beta 2. Do you only see it after you added a feed new, or even when
the feed has been added, the initial messages downloaded and a new post
is added?

I see this all the time but not always with the same feeds. It is very
intermittent. I have not installed any new feeds for the past several days
and still am unable to detect a pattern. For example, I just received all of
the "Crabby" feeds again yesterday. Could this be in any way related to the
issue of outlook not updating the majority of my feeds?

You could try to export all your feeds to an OPML, delete them all,
delete all folders in RSS Subscriptions, reboot, and import the OPML
back. Before the reboot, I'd also delete the file Sue pointed out to you
in the other thread.
This might work or not, I don't know.

A file that contains a list of RSS subscriptions would be the simple
explanation. File, Import and Export, Export RSS Subscriptions to an
OPML file.

Okay: I did as you and Sue suggested in combination, moved all the rss feeds
to an opml file, deleted all the folders, deleted them again from the deleted
folder, deleted the file Sue mentioned (.obi), closed outlook, rebooted the
machine, imported the rss feeds from the opml file, received what appears to
be updates to every one, closed outlook, opened outlook, pressed send/receive
and it seems to be working okay now. I am currently running a few other
things and will update when I reboot the machine and try it again.

Well, it has reverted back to the same situation. I was able to update all
subscribed feeds three times: once on application start, once on a forced
send/receive several minutes later, and once on a regularly scheduled
send/receive. Then I began getting duplicates and some others would not
update.

So I propose two work arounds for this issue:

1. (Optional) Every half hour or so manually go through all the steps to
remove and re-install your feeds.

2. (Recommended) Re-install your favorite feed reader and use it.

Yes, it certainly is a Beta, isn't it!

Do you get any OLE error messages in the send/receive dialog?

Yes I do. I just now initiated a send/receive and copied the error messages.
Also. the dialog states "some errors" with regards to the feeds.
I originally assumed that it was the same error code for each but after
actually looking at the data (I know, I know, rtfm...) each individual feed
generates a different error code with the same verbage. I did a web search
for one of the error codes the other day and came up blank, but did not
investigate any others. Here is the list in its entirety. Sorry it's so
long!
