Why can't I send and recieve on Outlook (firewall?) ?

[EMAIL TROUBLE]

When i click on the send and recieve button, it takes a while for it to
begin, and then it does not work. It says that the server exists but it
could not get a response from the server. I think it might be my firewall.

Disable your firewall and try again? If it works now you'll know that you
need to reconfigure it.

That was the problem. I knew it was my firewall, but I just do not know how
to get it to stop blocking it. When i disable it I can send and recieve. If
you know of a site I can go to to get help, or if you can give any help
please let me know.
