Why don't my sent messages appear in the sent folder?

T

trevy

I've checked all the appropriate boxes asking Microsoft Outlook 2000 to keep
a copy of sent messages in my sent folder. I went to Advanced options and
made sure the "In folders other than inbox..." box is unchecked. Still, no
sent messages.

Until a month ago, this was not a problem. Around that time, it appears
that MS Word magically began working as my mail editor, even though I did not
request it. The only reason I even know this is because I get the little
helper paperclip guy everytime I open my mail now. I've looked under options
and "Use Microsoft Word to edit email messages" is not checked.

It's driving me crazy!

Help?

This is a long shot, but have you checked the view settings on your Sent
Items folder to make sure there are no filters set that might be hiding the
items? Also, have you done an Advanced Find to make sure the sent messages
aren't going to another folder somehow?
