Word - Autocorrect

Something really annoying is happening whenever I use the word
"telecon" as in teleconference it auto-corrects to "telecom". This is
not in my Auto-Correct options list and I cannot seem to stop it from
happening. Anyone got any idea what is going on?

did you try (in the auto correct options tab) "exceptions -> other
corrections, and adding "telecon" there?

Thanks Tigro - that works fine.

I'd also added 'telecon' to the Custom dictionary and that seemed to
work fine also. It does appear though that Microsoft are confusing 2
different sets of functionality - dictionary/spell check on 1 hand and
auto-correct on the other.

What else will Auto Correct perform corrections on that is not listed
in the Auto Correct dialogue box? Who knows!!
