All I want to do is start with a blank document whenever I open Word 2002.
Instead, I get some previously saved document. How can I start with a blank
document when I open the program?

Thanks!

Odds are you probably accidentally saved the previous document as a
template. Try renaming normal.dot and then opening Word. It should
build a fresh template file.

OK that was an easy question I could have answered that

How about mine:

When in Print Layout mode or when you do NOT have any documents OPEN in MS
Word you usually gray background.
My background has suddenly changed to a HORRIBLE puke green / yellow.
Does anyone know how to change this "empty page" back to gray?

Try editing normal.dot itself (not a document based on the template).
