work by summary task by resource report???@!?

I am trying to extract information that you think would be quite
simple for project 2002 to produce:

I need to report the effort for each phase or "summary task" by
"resource"

The only way can achieve this at the moment is a paste into excel and
filter from there with a wild card on outline task number.

Hi Nate,

Any method is good since Project does not give this off the shelf.
It is doable through a VBA procedure but not a very easy one I'm afraid.

Have you tried a grouping on the Task Usage view :
Project / Group by...
- Group by : Outline Number
- Then by : Resource Name
Check the Group Assignments, not tasks check box

Tell us if that's what you want.
