Work Contours

Hi
Hoping someone can help me with my problem. Is there any way to assign a
work contour to tasks that are not rescourced? My tasks are fixed cost and
duration based rather than work/resource driven. I want to be able to spread
the costs over the project without having to do it manually. I'm familiar
with how to do this for resources, but can't seem find a way do do it without
resources. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The simplest way would be to create a resource and assign it to all tasks.
You could then contour it.

You may want to try loading a resource that will give you an equivalent cost
and then using a contour on that. There is no direct "contour" applicable to
cost in P2003. It]s a work contour, not cost.

Thanks to both of you. I thought this might be the case. Can you also tell
me if I assign several resources under for example "miscellaneous
subcontractor" task. Each will have a separate fixed cost associated with it
- is there some way of adjusting the task so that I can manually enter the
forecast date that these costs will be realised in the project so they will
not be averaged over the task duration. Hope this makes sense.........
