xml, no mpp

Chris

Hello,

Is it possible to work on projects directly in xml format, without using the
mpp format?

I use xml to publish project information. I'd like to skip the import/export
step and the need to manage several files when updating projects.

Thanks,

Chris

And how do you think Project would store all the information it creates
in XML? Things like ES, EF, LS, LF, TS, FS, baselines, durations, work,
etc., etc. XML is for creating web pages. Understand the difference?

In Project 2002+ select File, Save as and select file type .xml

Same with opening, select File, Open and file type xml.

Save a project with the type of data you want to work with and you will have
a sample of the xml file you will need to create. XML file type replaces the
old .mpx format.
