2000 Runtime

I have an application that installs/uses the 2000RT. The install package has
been used successfully for years on many clients. Now an issue has come up
on a few clients where several runtime files are missing. Uninstalling and
reinstalling consistently results in only 45 of the 61 files in the ART
folder. It doesn’t appear to be a permissions issue.

Even odder, when the runtime errors pop-up referring to missing files, there
are folders/dlls referenced that are not normally in the runtime folder,
ie: …ART\PFiles\Common\MSShared\VBA\VBA6\1033\VBE6INTL.DLL

All clients have Windows XP SP3 and Office 2007 Professional SP2.

Any ideas?

Hi Terri,

I would try to change the default installation path of the ART i.e.
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\ART\
in something else e.g.
C:\Program Files\MicrosoftOffice2000\ART\

Thanks for responding Paola.

I may try that, but I'll have to create a separate runtime only install.
The installation is done in WISE and there is no option to change the default
runtime location. I am responsible for the application but not the
installation and don't have the ability to change it.
