[2007] Export Grid to Excel

R

Robert

Hello,
While in the Project Center, when I try the feature: Actions / Export Grid
to Excel, I get the message:
"The ActiveX control on which this feature depends could not be created..."
How can I find and install this ActiveX ?
Thanks

Hi Robert,

The ActiveX control you want is downloaded from project server, but standard
permissions mean that you it will be blocked.

To fix this:
1. Go to Tools -> Internet Options
2. Click on the Security tab
3. Click on Trusted Sites
4. Drag the 'Allowed levels for this zone' slider down to Low
5. Click OK and try to Export to Excel again
6. Assuming this works, reset the slider back to medium - once the control
has downloaded and installed then it will work fine from that point on

Hope that helps,

Jonathan

Jonathan,
Thanks for your help.
But my security level for Trusted Sites is already at the lowest level :
"Medium-Low".
What else can I try ?
Thanks again

Hmmm.... medium-low is not the lowest. Low is the lowest.
So, that looks like an IE issue - has your company restricted this setting?
(though I'm not sure how)

Can you get to the Custom settings? You need to be able to download
unsigned ActiveX controls I think.

Unfortunately I do not know the name of the specific DLL for you to be able
to Google it.
