500 'PPORT 500 'LPRT Command not understood

I manage multiple website with Frontpage 2003 using ftp, all on different
servers. All of a sudden I start getting these errors every time I try to
connect. I'm trying to ftp to different servers, mind you, but I get the
same error. I assumed it was a problem with my software so uninstalled and
reinstalled but it still doesn't work. I've turned off my firewalls. It
still gives me the same error. I'm able to connect with WS_FTP and IE web
folders, but no longer using frontpage. I use Frontpage 2003 on a different
computer on the same network and I have no problems. This is the error I
getting. Any ideas?

The error came back after a windows update. I tried a system restore again
but this time it didn't work.
