Access 2K and Outlook 2K Conflict

When I open my Access application that has an ODBC
connection to a webserver, my Outlook generates an error
message and closes down. This has happened since I
installed Office SP-3. I run IE 6 latest version, and
Windows 2K Pro with SP-1 [SP-4 conflicts (?) with my
ComCast cable modem, and I had to uninstall it].

So there must be some kind of a conflict. Do I have to do
a restore back to the out-of-the-box configuration?
