Activation Problems

I am a subscriber to the Microsoft ActionPack. Every
product I install gives "Your product ID is invalid" on
activation. I've tried the MAPS support, but they are
very slow to respond to e-mail. Since I'm paying on a
time basis to use the software, no being able to activate
means that I'm losing out on the benefits I've paid for.

What would cause an invalid product ID? When I spoke to
someone at the activation 800 number, he thought it might
be because the product was already activated. However,
upon checking he found that this was not true. Why would
Microsoft send out CD codes that allow the software to be
installed but not activated? I'm looking for a specific
description of what this error message means and how to
fix it without waiting for a human to respond to my e-
mail. Thanks!
