Coming to Vista directly from Win98, I probably made some mistakes in
originally setting up user accounts.

I have 3 available accounts on the sign-in screen.
Admin with administrator access
Normal Standard User
Guest account.

Signing on the using admin account, I would think there would be no trouble
uninstalling programs etc, but sometimes I do, getting messages that I must
be signed on using the administrator account.

I ran Belarc Advisor, and it had 3 local user accounts listed as well as the
admin account. The admin account was checked as disabled, and the other
account "joe" was listed as one of the 3 local user accounts. I do remember
setting up a user account by that name at some time in the past, but was
still fumbling around trying to understand Vista at that time, adding and
then deleting user accounts.

I keep my antivirus updated and scan my hd regularly, as well update and run
the MS Malicious software Removal tool monthly, so I feel certain that
whatever damage has been done I did to myself.

Any ideas as to how I may starighten this out?
