App Size SWELLS In 2007

I have access app developed for earlier platforms. When I ported to Access
2007 - it grew to three times (3x) it's original size.

Any thoughts as towards why!

Obviously Yes. I opened an earlier release of database - used your save as
feature to save in new 2007 format - then compacted! Obviously some issue
with conversion process / earlier version of database was 2000 format.

Basically, I decided to REBUILD this from scratch by creating a new Access
2007 database. Next, I linked to SQL tables; imported the queries, forms,
reports, macros, modules from database. It's size here is normal.

My conclusion - I won't use the Save As feature - since issues somewhere
there with earlier releases!

It is normal when you 'enable' a later version for
Access to make a copy of the VBA project, that
is the forms and reports. You would expect that
to be much less than 3X, but it may be a factor.
