"application-defined or object-defined error" Access 2000 Tools/A.

I get the error message "Application-defined or object-defined error" in
Access 2000 SP-3 whenever I attempt Tools/Analyze/Documenter/Options. The
error message occurs whenever I click OK in the Options dialog, regardless of
whether or not I actually changed any of the options. The Documenter works
but, obviously, I can't de-select any of the Options. Just for the hell of
it, I tried compacting and repairing the database and then attempted again,
but received same error message. I don't know what this message means or how
to fix it.

The articles you listed do not apply for the following reasons:

1) Neither the object (in this case a table) nor the relationship windows
were open at the time.
2) The error occurs when I attempted to close the Options dialog by
clicking "OK," and it did not close the dialog; therefore, it did not begin
the documenting process, so I did not get a message indicating that it could
not document the object.
3) The documenter works, it just doesn't let me change any of the options.
4) I'm not in a multi-user environment.
