Just a guess because your message is very sketchy, but I'm assuming you're
trying to use one of the Drawing Tools to produce the arrow.
Click the button that represents the shape you want to create ‹ Don't try to
drag the button from the palette of tools.
Move your pointer to the spot where you want to create the shape then click
& drag [hold the Shift Key before you start dragging in order to make
straight lines/arrows].
If this doesn't resolve your problem you'll need to provide a much more
detailed description of what you're trying to do, what you're trying to do
it with, how you're going about it & what's happening contrary to what you
expect. If we don't know all that we can't very well help determine what
might be going wrong. It's also important to indicate your exact update
level of the program & operating system.
