I have been following the directions from the archive news feed about exporting to Excel and importing back to project for Assignments, but I am running into an unusual situation. I am attempting to update only the date fields. When I go through the Export Wizard, and select Assignments as my table, I am pulling in the Unique ID into the extract. However, both in the preview section and in the extract itself, the Unique ID is different than thre Unique ID for the assignment.
The Unique ID in the extract is pulling in a 4 digit number, while Project is displaying a 7 digit number (e.g. 2097989). When I try to use this map to also inport data back into Project, my resource assignments are getting changed other than what I am importing.
Please let me know if any additonal information is needed from me on this issue.
