Bottom margin

David

I'm writing a term paper. I reset all four margins to
what is considered "default" (1.25 for right & left, 1.0
for top & bottom). I'm into the third page of my paper.
But even though I chose to apply the margins to
the "entire document," the bottom margin on p.2
is "taller" (there's too much white space) than on the
bottom of p.1.
How do I get the bottom margin on p.2 to be correct?

If your term paper is double-spaced and you have "Widow/orphan control"
enabled (as it is by default) on the Line and Page Breaks tab of Format
Paragraph, this is virtually inevitable unless you select Justified for the
vertical alignment. Whenever a line jumps to the next page in order not to
be stranded alone, it leaves a large blank space. This is easier to see if
you have "Text boundaries" checked on the View tab of Tools | Options.
