I have a split front end and back end database I'm working on. I need
to open the backend first then open the front end in exclusive mode to
make some changes. I tried holding down the shift key and the
control key and I don't see the password dialog? It doesn't bring up
the password dialog. I must have added myself as a user to the system
database. I have a shortcut that opens it for me but I really want to
know how to do it by opening the backend directly because when I use
the short cut it doesn't seem to let me pull up the front end in
exlclusive mode. I need to log in as the administrator with a
different password. The user gave me the wrong one so the one in the
system database is wrong. I could add myself with the new password
but I forgot how to do that. It seems there should be a way to bring
up the password dialog and just log in with the system password. that
should allow me to open the front end in exclusive mode. I worked on
this a month ago and now I can't get it to open.
