Building a Presentation Dynamically

M

MDS

I have a set of PPT presentations that combine to form the
content for several training classes; each class uses a
different combination/ordering of the smaller modules.

I am trying to build a single presentation from the smaller
ones on the fly, that will update itself when the modules
are edited.

Copying content manually from the modules into a larger
presentation duplicates content that, when edited, needs to
be changed in each of the presentations. Using linked
objects solves the problem of content updating...but when
the linked presentations are being shown I am still looking
at the linking slide on my PC and cannot view any
instructor notes or make changes to what is on screen.

Can anyone suggest a method or a third-party add-in that
will help to accomplish this?

Thanks.

MDS,
If I were to attempt this, I'd likely maintain my content in Excel and
maintain a grid for each record (content) and tell it where to put it
on the PPT page and have a True/False column for each presentation I
wanted to create to tell my code whether to include it or not.

Wouldn't be all that hard to code for someone who knows VBA. Would be
a real nightmare for someone who doesn't.

Others might suggest the Custom Show feature in PowerPoint.
