Can’t find “Microsoft Office Word 97-2003 Document†in DCOM CONFIG

Can’t find “Microsoft Office Word 97-2003 Document†listed in “component
services\computers\my computer\DCOM CONFIG†on the new server I built.

I need this listed to configure Office applications to run under an
interactive user account. It works on the server I’m replacing and every
other computer I own, but not my new one.

All the other MS Office 2007 apps are listed but NOT Word. I have
uninstalled and reinstalled the ENTIRE Office 2007 suit and the Office 2007
Primary Interop Assembly and still no MS Word.

The only real difference between the old server and the new one is, I’m
using the 64 bit version of Windows 2003 R2 Server instead of the 32 bit
version.

It makes no sense that all the other Office 2007 apps are showing up in DCOM
but not Word.

At this point I can’t think of anything I did different on my other servers.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Greg

I have the same on my Vista 64-bit machine. I cannot see any DCOM service
with such a name, yet I have installed MS Office 2007.

However I see a service with name "00020906-0000-0000-C000-000000000046",
which is the id of winword.exe (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/288366).

So perhaps you can use this service instead.

Hope it helps.
