Can I change the Duration field format?

MS Proj currently fills this field with too much info. This wastes space.
If a task is one day long I don't need to see "1 days" in the Duration field,
1 or 1d would be just fine.

Is there a way I can specify the format of the Duration field? Something
along the lines of "d" for days, "h" for hours, "m" for minutes? Perhaps
even blank out the type if I'm only using one type of duration for the entire
project (i.e. all tasks are measured in days only, etc.,.)?

Hi Madoc Pope,

In Tools>Options on the Edit tab, you may change the view options for time
units.

Note that there's also a checkbox to remove the space between the number and
the letter.
