Can I upgrade from Office 2003 Pro to Office 2007 with full versio

Currently I have Office 2003 Professional installed on my laptop, as a gift
my husband purchased the Full Version of Office 2007 instead of just the
upgrade will it still work? Or does it install both versions? Or does the
2007 version ovrewrite the 2003?

Since it is the FULL version you can legally keep your old version too.
You may upgrade and replace or install side by side.

Your husband could have saved himself some serious coin by purchasing an
upgrade version of Office 2007. The only difference between an upgrade
version and a full version is that the upgrade version is offered at a
reduced price to people who already own an earlier version of the software.

If you haven't broken the plastic on the box, have your husband return the
full version and buy the upgrade version. He can take you out for a nice
meal with the money he'll save.
