Can Visio Diagrams/Flowcharts be exported for use in Adobe Indesig

I am a new user and currently don't have a copy of visio to play with so I am
wondering if this is possible. Can you export the diagrams and flowcharts as
vector based files that can be manipulated?

Visio drawings can be exported as vector drawings but they lose their
"smarts" when you do it. Although it's not a one way trip, what comes back
is not what left.

You can also print to PDF and place the PDF in InDesign. Again though you
lose the "smarts"
