I am CERTAIN that you have not "tried" at ALL. Utterly certain of it.
You know why? Because "getting rid of the Office for Mac trial" involves
pressing the Delete key. Once. And yeah, there is absolutely nothing we
can do here: the Delete key that needs to be pressed is on YOUR keyboard.
Duh!
The only "contact" you have entered into is to "Pay or Don't Use". That's
it: you pay, you can use, you don't pay, you can't use. If you know any
place that has different rules (and will still be in business next year...)
let us know!
I guess you are too young to realise just how absurd your statements really
are: most eight-year-olds can't imagine that people might know more than
them; that's an awareness that doesn't usually happen until they reach the
age of 12 or so...
You see: I know that you have not even TRIED the Microsoft Office 2008 free
trial, let alone tried to remove it.
You know how I know that? Because if you HAD removed it, and you HAD tried
to use your files after that, you would have discovered that they will open
straight up if you double-click them (unless you have screwed up your system
some other way also).
See? If you didn't even know that, you are talking about something you have
never even seen, let alone used.
So thanks for the great laugh at your expense. We have entered your name in
the running for "The Most Stupid User of 2009", and a win is practically
assured. You may also take out "Most Stupid User of All Time"; who knows,
we await the judges verdict.
{Giggle}
I can only sympathize: I have tried for over a month to get rid of the Office
for Mac and can't. The attitude, like the one mentioned in this post is, "I'm
afraid there isn't a thing we can do here -"
As a selling device this is probably illegal because the buyer has no way of
getting out of a 'contract' having viewed the trial - the blackmail is, you,
as the potential buyer, cannot now access your old files. Nice one Microsoft.
