cannot share BCM

I have gone through the instructions on sharing the BCM but I cannot get it
to work. I have done the following:

+Installed BCM update on 3 machines
+Shared out BCM on one machine
+Verified that port 56183 is open and MSDE is listening on it. (I can telnet
to that port on the other machines)
+Verified the people I want to have access to BCM are in the users group

When I try to connect to the shared BCM I get the following message:
The database server on computer XXXXX is inaccessible. Confirm that the
remote machine has Business Contact Manager for Outlook installed, that it is
running, and that shared databases are available at the location. Firewall
settings on the remote machine could also be blocking access. Check with the
administrator of the remote machine.

You could try connecting to the db directly with ODBC (e.g. with
osql.exe). If osql.exe connects, then there's a problem with BCM. If
osql.exe cannot connect, then it's a db or network config issue.
