Can't access Connectors in Flowchart

I can't access the Connectors in Flowchart. Other objects in Flowchart are
available, but when I click on Connectors and pass my cursor over the
connector objects they are not highlighted and when I click on them nothing
happens. Can anyone help, please? I have tried reloading Office 2003
(Detect & repair) but that has had no effect.

Hi Richard,

Connectors in Word are only active inside a Drawing Canvas.
Use Insert=>Picture=>New Drawing to open a Drawing Canvas as a work area.
