Can't Access PWA (MS Project 2003 Server - ActiveX Ctrls) with IE

PWA access (MS Project 2003 Server) with IE 6.0 works great, but when trying
to setup PWA with IE 7.0 there is a need to upload ActiveX Controls - which
can not be downloaded.

Is there a workaround for getting PWA to work with IE 7.0?

Have you added the url to your trusted sites and lowered your security
settings to the lowest level?

When you try to access PWA do you see a pop up line below your header bar
that asks whether you want to download the controls?

If you're using Vista, the firewall can also be a problem. In IE6 the default
security for Trusted Sites is Low. In IE7, it's Medium. As Jonathan said, you
need to set it to Low. You also need to watch it, as we've seen it reset back
to Medium with security updates.

Hello,

Thanks for responding.

1) Yes, the site has been added as a trusted site.
2) Security level has been set to low and it still does not allow download
of ActiveX Controls. When the agreement is accepted the browser window opens
for PWA but there is a need to download ActiveX Control. The information bar
appears asking if you'd like to download - when clicked it sends you back to
the agreement page and you get put in an infinite loop.
3) No firewall(s).

Any thoughts.

You need to go in and manually set all your active x control download
options in the security to Enabled instead of Prompt since setting to low
does not necessarily do this. I have seen the issue where it prompts you to
download at the top bar section and you have to accept the download from
this drop down very very quickly in order for it to not get into the loop
you describe.
