Hello, I had a machine with project 2007 and I also have project server.

In my new machine I installed project 2007, then I go to Project server URL.

http://intranet/PWA/

When I click on Edit Project I have this error

Project can not open the file

-Check that file name and path are correct.
Check that the file formaat is recognized by project
Project files saved in a version earliet than Microsoft Project 98 cant be
opened
If your file is from an earlier verison, open it in that version, click Save
s (file menu), and save in MPX file in the current version of project, when
you use this metod project data is imported but formatting is lost.

Are you connecting to the MPS 2007 or 2003? 2007 client can't connect to
the previous version of the project server.

Did you upgrade from 2003 to 2007 with the plan already there? At any rate I
have resolved this in the past by saving the project locally using the
2000-2003 version .MPP and then republished it into Project Server 2007 using
the same name thereby overwriting the plan in Project Server.
