Cant run office after uninstalling 2007 beta

Alex

Recently I installed Office 2007 beta but I have decided to go back to my old
copy of office xp pro. The problem is once I uninstalled the beta software I
was left with a copy of office xp pro on my computer that I am no unable to
run or uninstall. Along with this when I try to either install the program
again or remove the files I am left with this response either way “The
installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source
exists and that you can access it.†Is there any way I can get around this
error message so I can run office again on my computer?

It sounds like your Windows Installer files are missing or damaged. To
correct it obtain the following utility and use it to remove only the
reference to Office. Once that is complete then you'll need to
reinstall Office to point the Windows Installer to your installation
