Cant's send mail

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop I am able to receive a pop3 account but can't send. The error message is "Entourage cannot connect to the server. Verify that your computer is connected to the network." The setting and everything was imported from Mac Mail application. Please help.
