Contacts forwarded or attached from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2007 are blank

Sending individual contacts from Outlook 2003, either forwarded from the
contacts folder or attached as an item in an email, appear on Outlook 2007
as an attached message (msg) instead of a contact item and when opened are
blank.
How do we fix this?

More info. Interesting. I have just set up Outlook 2003 on XP on my other
machine and emailed a contact. That comes through into Outlook 2007 on Vista
perfectly OK. Why should a contact emailed from O2003 also on XP on my
wife's machine, come through as a msg attachment and not a contact
attachment?

I don't know how to fix that, but you can send the contact in Outlook 2003 as vCard format (.vcf) by

1. Select all the contacts you want to send in the Contacts view
2. from the 'Actions' menu select 'Forward as vCard'.

On the other side, just open the attachment and click 'Save & Close'. Done.
