Converting MOV files to insert into powerpoint

I have Powerpoint 2002 and have a digital camera that takes .MOV digital
movies that I cannot insert into a presentation. Am I doing something wrong
or will I need to convert the file to another format? If so, how can I
convert these files? Thanks, Brian
