"copy/Paste" in word not working, clipboard empty any suggestion?

When trying to copy/paste items or paragraphs in word, the clipboard sends a
message "item not collected" and it does not allow me to copy items from one
document to another or even in to the same document. Clipboard is empty. Any
suggestion why this is happening??

An incompatible third party add-in. Test for this by starting in Safe Mode
and try copy/paste. If it works in Safe Mode, it is definitely a third party
add-in problem.

From Start, Ruin, type in

winword /a

and press enter. Now test.
