copying text from page another publication

I make labels, and after making a master of one, i copy all of it and paste
it to another publication. When doing this the fonts change from new times
roman to gil sans. How can i make it stay in new times roman. The reason
for this is the line spacing. The times roman leaves little space between
the lines

Have you used the "Paste Special" options? There is a Times New Roman font
scheme, you can apply it after your paste. Are you pasting to/from a template?
