Corporate Home Use CD

Charles Hartshorne

I got a Office 2000 disc at work, and I've tried to load
it. Everything was fine until I loaded the Service
Release 1a. Now the page tells me I need
the "administrative version". In reading the web site,
what I'm seeing is all about loading from a server, I
don't have a server!!!!

Any ideas?

Hi Charles,

It sounds like your company has created a custom
CD from its Office Administrative installation on
the server and included one or more updates to
Office on that CD. If so, then you'll need to
contact your company for an updated CD with
the more recent updates on it, or download the
updates from http://office.microsoft.com/downloads
to install separately rather than use the autochecker on
http://office.microsoft.com/productupdates
