COUNT QUERY in make query table adding fields.

I'm making a make table query. I refer to an existing table and want to put a
counter to text records that I have. I want to make a field in the new table
that only has a counter of one particular record.
ex.
OneField
xxxxxx
xxxxxx
xxxxxx
xxxxxx
yyyyyy
yyyyyy
zzzzzz
I want to create
Fieldx1 Fieldy1 Fieldz1
4 2 1
I'm really losing sleep over this. I got this position because it was this
or no job. thanks ahead for any amount of help.
