Do you have Acrobat 7 on your system? Sometimes this add-in can cause Word
not to save changes to toolbars, Autotext entries, etc. and possibly custom
dictionaries.
To test make a change, ie add a new word to dictionary, then press
Shft+File, Save All. Close Word, open and see if new Word is saved into the
dictionary.
If you do have Acrobat then have a look at this webpage, especially the
section on Add/Remove Program, Modify for Acrcobat 7. I had similar problems
with Customise and Autotext, doing the following solved the problem but I
also found that if you do the instructions and then reboot, Open and close
word, then reverse the Modify instructions, the Acrobat functions return
without the clashes with saving Customise and Autotext, etc.
