Customize project center

My requirement is to have a link to the project details report from Report
Pack2 on project center in PWA. Our PMO office wanted to have a link to this
report from project center. Im am in the process of modifying the report to
show data for a specific project. I could not find any information on how to
add another column in the activex control which will point to the report for
a project.

Hi Sree,

I am not sure if I understand your requirement correctly? You want to have a
field on project level for an URL to a report to be displayed in Project
Center? If I am correct, move on reading:

1. Create a Custom field for your link:
Server Settings - Enterprise Custom Field Definition - New Field. Define a
name, leave Entity=Project and Type=Text. Save.
If you want to link directly with parameters and you defined your report to
have these in its URL, you can also define a formula which appends your
parameter (project name?) to the report URL).
2. Add this field to a Project Center View
Server Settings - Manage Views. Select a view from section Project Center
and open it by clicking on the name. Find your new field in 'Available
fields' and put it with 'add' to 'Defined field'. Select it in that box
(last line) and move it up to the place your PMO office wants to see (field
order here = column order in Project Center).

If you haven't defined a formula, fill your new field for each project.
Publish your projects. If you define working URLs, PMO can click on them and
your site will be opend.

Does that help?

Regards
Barbara

A low-tech way of doing this is to expose the built-in HREF field in your
project center views after adding this information to the HREF field in the
Summary Task for each project.
