Date Time Default Format Language

S

Sharon

I have fields on my form as shown:{MERGEFIELD "ApplicationDate" \@ "MMMM dd,
yyyy"}. When I perform the merge, the dates come out in Norwegian (Bokmal).
I have tried going into Tools/Language/Set Language and changing the language
to English and defaulting it to English and I have tried highlighting the
field and then going to insert/date and time and changing the language to
default to English, but from some reason it is not defaulting and I am still
getting Norwegian (Bokmal)--Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Add a charformat switch to your field thus:

{ MERGEFIELD "ApplicationDate" \@ "MMMM dd, yyyy" \*charformat }

Then select the whole document - CTRL+A and then set the language to
English. While in the Language dialog uncheck - detect language
automatically.

I take it your Windows regional settings are English?
